3 Things AI Can’t Do For Your Website (But I Can)

by Tabitha DeSeranno | Feb 10, 2026 | Hot Takes + Opinions, Website Real Talk

AI can build you a website in 10 minutes. I’ve seen the demos. I’ve watched the videos. I’ve even tried some of the tools myself. And honestly? They’re impressive. You type in a few prompts, answer some questions, and boom. You’ve got a...

Can we talk about the beige website epidemic? Neu Can we talk about the beige website epidemic?

Neutral palette. Minimal serif font. Lots of white space.

It's EVERYWHERE.

And listen, I love a good neutral brand when it actually fits the person.

But most of the time? It's just people playing it safe.

Afraid to pick colors that feel too bold.
Afraid to use fonts with personality.
Afraid to look "too much."

Your visual identity should reflect WHO YOU ARE.

Not what you think will offend the least number of people.

If you're energetic and warm, your brand should feel that way.
If you're bold and direct, your colors should show it.
If you're quirky and creative, let that come through.

Stop hiding behind beige because it feels "professional."

Your ideal clients want to work with YOU. Not a watered-down version.
Your brand colors shouldn't be "whatever Canva sug Your brand colors shouldn't be "whatever Canva suggested."

Your fonts shouldn't be "what looked pretty that day."

Your visual identity isn't decoration. It's psychology. 👀

When someone lands on your website, your visuals tell them:

➡️ Do you take this seriously or are you just dabbling?

➡️ Are you established or still figuring it out?

➡️ Are you worth what you're charging?

➡️ Is this someone I want to work with?

➡️ Does this person get people like me?

➡️ Is this worth my time to keep reading?

And if your visual identity doesn't match your actual personality and positioning?

They bounce. Or worse, they book and realize you're not what they expected.

Your visual identity is doing WAY more work than you think.

Stop treating it like an afterthought. 💛
The clients I work with don't come to me because t The clients I work with don't come to me because they want a "prettier" website...

They come because they've grown but their online presence is still back where they started and no longer represents who they are or what they offer.

So they avoid sharing their link. They over-explain their work on discovery calls. They hold back from opportunities because they're not proud of what people will find when they look them up.

That's what the Spark & Soul Experience actually fixes.

Not just the visuals (though those get a full overhaul too).

The whole thing: a visual identity that matches who you actually are right now, messaging that sounds like you wrote it on your best day, and a website that guides the right people straight to booking.

When it all clicks? You stop apologizing for your brand and start showing up like the expert you already are.

If that sounds like where you are right now, I'm now booking for Q2.

Somewhere along the way, "looking professional" be Somewhere along the way, "looking professional" became code for "remove all personality."

And I hate that for us.

Because I see it constantly... service providers with genuinely amazing work hiding behind brands that feel safe, generic, and honestly? A little boring.

They were told (directly or not) that showing their personality would make them look less credible. So they picked neutral colors. Safe fonts. Vague copy that sounds like everyone else in their space...

And now they cringe a little every time someone asks for their website link.

Here's what I know after doing this work: personality and strategy go hand in hand.

That's exactly why I do things differently. Every brand I build starts with you... your story, your personality, your people. No cookie-cutter designs. No generic templates.

Just a strategic, personality-packed online presence designed to help you stand out and attract dream clients without sacrificing who you are.

Your people want to know who they're hiring before they get on a call with you.

Your brand is how you tell them...
A client told me she cried when she saw her new we A client told me she cried when she saw her new website for the first time...

Happy tears, thankfully.

She'd been running her therapy practice for five years with a website she built herself when she first started out. Every time someone asked for her link she felt a knot in her stomach.

She never sent people there unless she absolutely had to...

She'd constantly apologize for it...

She was turning down visibility opportunities because she was embarrassed by the thing that was supposed to be representing her.

Her website was actively costing her confidence, visibility, and clients.

After we worked together, everything shifted...

Her website finally looked and sounded like HER.

She stopped apologizing. She started showing up. She raised her prices. She felt genuinely PROUD to share her link.

That's what happens when your online presence finally supports you instead of holding you back.

Your website should be something you're excited to share, not something you hide.

Has your website ever made you feel like hiding instead of showing up?
